W. on Katrina

Everyone is upset that W. didn't mention Katrina or New Orleans in his State of the Union address. I would get upset, but I'm not surprised. In W's world, anything that doesn't reflect good on him is forgotten as soon as possible. He brings up 9/11 as much as possible, it's one of the last times that many people think he acted presidental (I won't comment here or this post would get really long). But why should he mention Katrina? Everything about it was a black eye for him. He showed how inept he really is. And even more is coming to life. The former head of FEMA Michael Brown has said that comments were made that Katrina was a perfect chance to basically put a "white, female, Democrat Governor" in her place. Politics as ususal for W and his crew.

I don't think he believes he needs to even waste time acknowleging NOLA and the rest of the folks in the Gulf region... Expendable...it's how he saw them then...it's how he sees them now...You know how it is...it's his way...and his way only...he is above the law...He believes he IS the law...
