This has become another of my favorite shows on tv. I purchased the first season on DVD awhile back and now I try and watch an episode as often as I can before I go to sleep. I have the DVD in the player in my bedroom, so I can get comfortable and lay down and watch the show.
Supernatural is the story of two brothers, Dean and Sam Winchester, out fighting monsters as they search for their Father. Their Mother died when they were young and they were raised as Monster Hunters. Each episode is a new adventure in a monster or other supernatural occurance.
But what makes this show is the relationship between the two brothers. As much as they argue and fight with each other they have a bond of love that comes through when it's needed. Their is a real chemistry between the two actors that play the brothers that comes across and helps make it more believable.
Like Buffy there is an overriding story arc to the entire season while the individual episodes tell their own stories.

Yes, it's actually coming out on tv right now. So hopefully by the end of the tv season they will release it on DVD.
