Taylor Hicks Is Coming

Last year's American Idol winner Taylor Hicks is coming to the New Orlean's House of Blues on March 13. I was pulling for Taylor to win from the start last year. I've remarked on this blog before that I wasn't that impressed with his cd that he recently released. I'm interested in seeing him live. His cd to me was too slick and overproduced. I think he did his best on the show when he was more raw and open. I think he could do well live, if he lets that side of him out and doesn't try for the one that he showed on his cd.

I really like him. Other than being completely adorable, he's a great singer and performer!! If you go, I hope you have an awesome time! And hey, if he's going there, maybe he's coming somewhere near here, we're not that far from there!

Run, don't walk to get those tickets. Taylor is absolutely mesmerizing on stage. He had 2 straight jackets on during AI - he's a wildman "live". I guarantee you he will Taylor-up the sterile CD sound and blow the roof off the joint.
