Studio 60

Tonight Studio 60 seemed to click on all fronts. This was my most eagerly awaited show for this season, but once it came on it failed to live up to my expectations. It was never bad, but it just never seemed to be quite...there. It's had some great moments, some clever parts, but no one episode seemed to be all there. I know I went in this with very high expectations, since this came from the creator of West Wing. Tonight I thought they had it all right. Maybe it had to do with the fact that they had a tribute to New Orleans with New Orleans musicans:
Troy Andrews,Trumpet
Kirk Joseph, Sousaphone
Roderick Paulin, Saxophone
Frederick Shepherd, Saxophone
Stephen Walker, Trombone
Mervin "Kid Merv" Campbell, Trumpet
Bob French, Drums
It actually was a very moving tribute, done within the show in a show. The rest of the show was very good too. The characters are starting to feel more like real characters now. And I still say that the heart of this show is the friendship between Matt and Danny.
