My Day Off

I was finally off this last thursday. I spent it Christmas shopping. Heather and I went across the lake to Metaire. I drug her from book store to music store to book store all day looking for presents. I actually ended up buying some things. Of course I ended up buying some things for me too. I just can't go Christmas shopping without seeing something I want. The new alphabet mystery S For Silence by Sue Grafton was out in paperback so I had to get that. Right? I couldn't pass it up. But I'm happy with myself, I did get some presents for people I need to. Than we ended up at Red Lobster for dinner. It started pouring just as we were leaving the last store. And it poured. There were a couple times on the street I was afraid we were going to go under water deep enough to stall out my car. But we made it to Red Lobster and had a good dinner. Than back home across the lake, only to be met by an accident on the Causeway which caused us to take forever to cross the lake. Finally home.

There is nothing better then a day off! I don't know about the bookstore thing though we own one in our small town and I can't wait to get out of here sometimes...lol

You at least got some shopping done. I like bookstores also, but I like the big picture books. Skittles likes the ones you read lol. Sounds like it was a good day though.
