Sum41

A break in the updates for the Jazzfest. I'll be posting pictures in the next few days too, once I get the time to scan them. Tonight I went to see Sum41 at the House of Blues. Heather won free tickets from B97 so that was cool. They had two opening acts, the first was Hawthrone Heights which was pretty good and the second one was Unwritten Law which I didn't like much at all. Sum41 was pretty good, they put on a good show. I'm not their target audience, but I enjoyed their show. Two things stood out from the night and neither were music related. Every other word from all the singers in the groups was M-F this and M-F that. Cursing doesn't bother me but this seemed a little extreme. And the other was that everyone on stage, from the singers to the guitarists kept spitting. Not more than a few mintues could pass without someone spitting to the side. I've never seen this before, I'm sure other singers have spit, but I've never noticed it. Oh, one final note...the bassist from Unwritten Law brought his girlfriend up on stage and proposed to her. She said yes. Wonder what he would have done if she had said no? Than the lead singer sang Green Day's Time of My Life to them. Isn't that kind of sad that you don't have you own song that you could sing to them?
