Bike Riding

I broke down today and bought a bike. I've been telling myself that I was going to buy a bike, but I kept putting it off. The main reason I kept putting it off is that I'm afraid that I'll get the bike and it'll sit in my yard instead of being riden. I have a bad habit of buying things and than not using them.

But I at least used it today. I took it to the trace, a 30 mile trail that goes from Slidell to Covington. No, I didnt' ride the entire trace today. Though my but feels like it right now. From looking at the map on the computer I figure I rode about four miles out and than four back, so about eight miles.

It was fun. Next time I plan on bringing my ipod so I can listen to some music as I pedal. It's beautiful out there, the trace cuts through the woods and bayous.

We'll see if I continue with the bike riding. Or if the bike become a yard ornement.

Once I get some money to buy a bike I will come riding with you. I need to get my ass into shape...along with the rest of my body!
