Next Saturday, Feb 10, Shannon McNally is playing at Tipitinas. This was one of the last places I saw her at and she put on a great show. Larry and I will be there for sure.
Feb 28 is Richard Thompson at the House of Blues. Haven't bought tickets yet, but am planning to. My brother says he knows someone (actually someone I used to work with years ago) who might be able to get me free tickets. That would be awesome.
March 10 Will Hoge plays the Howling Wolf. Will came through the area at the start of the month and didn't play New Orleans. I was afraid he might be skipping us, his last few shows weren't that heavily attended. I'm glad to see he hasn't forgotten about us.
Taylor Hicks will be at the House of Blues on March 14. It's a weird night for a concert, Wednesday. The more I've heard about Taylor live the more excited I'm getting to see him.
And of course on the last weekend of April and the first weekend of May is Jazz Fest.
That's what I'm planning to see so far, but there will be more as people come to the city that haven't booked yet.
