One of the Best Comic Strips of All Time

Oct. 27 Fantagraphics, the publishers of the Complete Peanuts, is going to start the complete collection of the comic strip Pogo. This one won't take quite as long as the Peanuts collection will to be done. Pogo is supposed to last about 12 volumes. Pogo is one of the best comic strips of all times. Numerous collections have appeared over the years. Fantagraphics tried it once already, in a paperback version that lasted eight or so volumes. This time they're doing it in quality, hardback and in the same style of the Peanuts collections. Jeff Smith of Bone fame is doing the design work on the volumes.

I'm going to try and reprint some of the stips on here in the next week or two, to give everyone a chance to see how good this strip is. I've got tons of the collections that have appeared over the years, but I am excited that finally it is going to be done right.

Oh, almost forgot, Pogo was created by Walt E Kelly.
