Coat of Many Patches

When I was traveling through Europe I wanted something that would remind me of each place I visited. I could have went with coffee mugs (and I did pick up a few) but that would have gotten bulky and hard to carry before I went home. Baseball caps or shirts too, but I decided to get a patch of every place I visited. I had an idea of what to do with them afterwards.

After I got home I decided to see if I could get patches for all the states I've visited too. The internet is a wonderful tool for instances like this. A little browsing around and I was able to get all the patches I needed.

My idea was to put all these patches on a jacket. A jacket that would show all the places I've been in the world. You can't see all the patches in this picture. Most of the state patches are on the two arms. The back is full of the different countries I've been to. I have to get a patch for Mexico and add it.

I actually had it hanging in my closest and had pretty much forgotten about it until now for some reason today. I wore it to work and than decided to take a picture and share it with everyone. What do you think?

I like it...at first glance it looked like so many of the Vietnam Vets jackets I've seen...
