We never stray too far from the subject of Buffy on this blog. The new arc for the Buffy Comic Book Season Eight is out. The new storyline features Faith. This is the first of the series not written by Joss himself. Brian Vaughan, the writer of Y: The Last Man and Ex Machina, is handling the writing part for this part with Joss acting as director, much like he did with most of the tv series itself. The best thing I can say about this is that as I was reading it I could hear the actors saying the words, Vaughan has captured the personality and speech of Faith and Giles (who puts in his first real appearance in the comic book series save for a brief one in the first arc) perfectly. I would love to see a storyline featuring Giles, I think he has so much potential as a character. If you haven't picked up this series, this is a great place to jump on board. I'm sure the first storyline will be collected as a book soon.
