Artist of the Month: Shannon McNally

I know this month is already half over with, so I'll just have to post a lot in the remaining couple weeks. But this month the Artist of the Month is Shannon McNally. Shannon is originally from New York City but makes her home down here in New Orleans. (Actually she just moved to Mississippi but I still consider her a hometown girl.) Shannon's music combines elements of soul, folk, rock and a little bit of other things. She can rock out with the best of them, but turn around and deliver a ballad in the next moment. She has a unique voice, one that I can't get enough of. Her songwriting is literate and does not talk down to the audience. These Artists of the Month I've picked so far have been some of my absolute favorite performers. Shannon is an artist the should be so much bigger and I think one day she will be.
