I LOVE Krazy Kat! Got a whole book of the old strips...it's awesome. Probably why i like "Mutts" so much...the same kind of old cartoony style.
Have you seen the reprint collections that Fantagraphics is putting out on Krazy Kat? They're doing it year by year, I think they've done like three or four years so far.
Did you know the creator of Mutts (which I think is great, one of the few good comic strips being published today) did a biography on George Herriman long before he ever did Mutts. So I'm sure there's a lot of Herriman's style in his work.
