Happy Xmas (War Is Over)

At work Christmas music is playing 24/7. You don't realize you're humming along to old favorites until you're in the middle of the song. One thing I noticed after listening to constant Christmas music is all the versions there are of John Lennon's "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)". This is probably one of my favorite Christmas songs. I've rarely heard the original version of the song by John Lennon at work, but I hear a lot of versions by other singers. I thought I'd highlight a few here:

Melissa Etheridge

Tom Jones

U2

Neil Diamond (This one gets a lot of play)

David Cook (This one is for Starrlight)

The Corrs

Damien Rice

The Alarm

And the Original John Lennon

I rarely hear that song at all. The Coors version is pretty sweet.

I didn't realize that there were so many version either, until I started to hear them on the station at work. It's a Muzak type station that is programed for Christmas music.

I haven't even had time to check out the Jazz Fest line up yet. Someone at work was telling me a few of the people that were coming. I'm going to have to go check it out.
