It's back! Somehow Artist of the Month vanished from this blog over the last few months, but I've decided to bring it back. And this month's Artist of the Month is Shelby Lynne. (Actually for the month of February, since this month is really just about over with.)
Shelby has a new album out today called "Just A Little Lovin'", songs inspired by Dusty Springfield. She takes 9 songs made famous by Dusty (and one original) and remakes them. She strips them down to bare minimum, painos and guitar and not a lot of either. The songs rely on her voice.
Of course during the month I'll talk more about Shelby and show some videos and put up some music from her.
