By the time we got in there was no way we were getting close to the stage. My back up when I can't make it to the stage is upstairs against the railing so I could see down to the stage. Even that was full by the time we got in. We ended up back near the bar. After awhile we managed to move around till we could see the stage.
So after all this preparation how was the concert? Taylor puts on a good show. He brings something to the show that I found lacking in his album...passion. He sings with passion. He loves to entertain, dancing and singing. He did most of the songs from his album, breathing a new life into them for me and a few old songs of his and some covers. One of his covers was a Supertramp song, "Take the Long Way Home." Taylor said this was the first song he learned to play with his harmonica. He also did a cover of some Sly and the Family Stone. For his encore he brought Ivan Neville out to play keyboards while he sang New Orleans favorites "Hey Pocky Way and Big Chief."
All in all it was a good concert. I enjoyed it a lot. Taylor puts on a good show. I'll say one thing, his fans are very supportive.

Yup - Soul Patrol is on fire for Taylor.
Glad you enjoyed it. He is definitely one of those performers that is better live than on CD.
