Call me old fashioned or out of step with the times, but can someone explain the appeal of text messaging to me? I understand that sometimes it is easier to text someone, but it seems today that the current generation would rather text than talk.
But that is actually not the main point of this rant. What has me more than a little miffed is the text messaging when you're out with someone. I'm talking about just out with a friend for a movie or dinner or whatever and the other person spends the entire time text messaging. They talk or eat or watch the movie, but most of their time seem to be on their text messaging. I'm sorry, to me this is beyond rude.
I just don't understand this.
