Coming up with a subject for this week's Thirteen Thursday made me go through my old files and look at some old stories. I keep a file cabinet with all my writing in it. Some of this stuff I haven't looked at in years, maybe even decades. Some of the stories I pulled out I have to admit that I don't even remember. I've made a big pile of stories that I want to look at more and maybe revisit and try my hand at reworking them.
Of all the first lines, the story with the longest title actually was published in a small magazine/fanzine about comic books. If you abbreviate the names in that title it comes out as The O.Z.P.I.N.H.E.A.D. Traveling Circus and Unusal Sideshows. That long winded name is actually the name of a character from a series of books and a classic movie. Anyone have any ideas who it is?
One thing I realized is that I need to go through these file cabinets and start organizing them better. But I'm excited, it's gotten me wanting to read this stuff and try some more writing.

Sometimes you can find a real gem in stuff you haven't looked at in awhile.
