More on Dollhouse

The Dollhouse CastImage via Wikipedia

I've only seen maybe three or four episodes so far but I'm beginning to feel like Dollhouse is not going to be for me. Maybe if I watched it in order it might have more feeling for me, but right now I'm not feeling it. I really don't care for any of the characters and that includes Echo. It's not that I hate this show, it's just I was expecting so much more, coming from Joss Whedon. And it's a show that I see a definite ending to, I don't see it continuing as a long running series. And from what I've read it probably won't.

I gave up on it. It just didn't resonate. Made me want to watch Buffy/Angel or Firefly. Fortunately Castle on ABC has Nathan Fillion and I LOVE HIM.

OH! If you are a Firefly/Serenity fan (and if you have not heard of it OMG GO RENT THEM NOW) there is a new graphic novel out called Better Days.

I had a feeling that a show without consistent characters couldn't make it.

That's the problem with the show, no real main character to bond with. They're filling in the back story on Echo but I just can't seem to connect with her. The whole reason she ends up a doll to me was not the best and as a character in the now you can't really connect since she's always a different character.

Yes, Starr I am a big Firefly fan. I so want to watch Castle, just haven't been able to. Nathan Fillion is great. Have you seen the internet thing he did with Joss Whedon?

It's called "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" and stars Neil Patrick Harris as Dr. Horrible and Nathan Fillion as the good guy, but all this is done very firmly in cheek. I haven't seen it yet, but there is a DVD out that collects all the episodes. Joss and company put this out during the writers strike, and from what I've read in interviews this is the way he wants to go in the future, on the web so he doesn't have to deal with networks. From what I've read and heard this is supposed to be great and very funny.
