Even though President Obama doesn't have to deliver a State of the Union since he just took over the state tonight's speech was essentially that. After a lot of speeches telling the public how dangerous the economic crisis is tonight's speech was one that focused more on hope. He didn't get into specifics, but mainly wanted to let the American people know that no matter how bad the situation was the country would prevail.
It's nice that we have a President that can actually put words together to form coherent sentences.
