Marvin Gaye

Marvin GayeImage via Wikipedia

Twenty five years ago Marvin Gaye, one of the great singers and a staple of Motown, was shot to death by his father. Marvin was not content to just be a hit singer and songwriter, he wanted to do something more. He wrote and recorded one of the greatest protest albums ever created What's Going On? It became his biggest success and is still relevant today. This video is the title song from that album plus "What's Happening Brother?" I think "What's Going On?" is still one of the greatest songs of all time and his singing in it is incredible.

Brilliant song...one that fills my brain just at the thought of the opening line

I remember that day. It was and still is so very tragic all the way around.
