Is DOLLHOUSE Canceled or Not?

The actress Felicia Day twittered that Fox is not going to run the 13th and supposedly final episode of this season of Dollhouse, thus making episode twelve the season ender. To most people this would seem to be the end for the series, but Fox is claiming that it is not canceling Dollhouse. Who believes that?

Whether they did cancel it or not, I wonder why they don't just run the 13th episode. I mean, if it's already in the can, what harm could it do just to air it?

Maybe the are re-tooling the show and the 13th episode doesn't fit with where they want to go?

I don't understand it. There was a post somewhere that tried to explain it because the original episode was re shot and than they did something else and it really was like another new episode and....I got lost.

I tried, I really did, but it just didn't work for me. I've always loved whatever Joss Whedon has done, but I guess there's a first time for everything.
