Does the younger generation not know who Bob Dylan is? Evidently not if you read this.

wow--I just read about this. :( So sad, and really crazy...you would just assume that everyone is familiar with Bob Dylan.
But they would have treated 50cent like he was royalty

Here's what I think. Regardless of the officers not knowing who he was, they were polite and followed procedure. Mr Dylan was polite and cooperative.
How many celebrities would have thrown attitude? It's nice to hear about a reasonable exchange between authority and celebrity.
Travis, I agree completely. How many celebrities would have thrown a fit for not being recognized. Or the police could have brought Mr. Dylan straight to jail. I think both sides acted very well here. I'm not trying to imply that either side acted in the wrong, I just can't get over the fact that the two police officers did not even know who Bob Dylan was...not that they didn't recognize him, but they didn't recognize his name. Makes me feel old :)
Oh I got that point too. It makes me feel a little old too.
