Mom's Coming

My Mom's driving down from Tennessee tomorrow to spend Christmas with me and my brother. She's going to spend a few days here and than head across the lake and go to my brother's house. I'm glad she's coming down. My Dad loved Christmas, he was like a little kid waking up early on Christmas morning, so this is going to be a hard holiday. I know I haven't been posting as much as I normally do or visiting everyone, but this time of the year is so busy with my job and I think it's just been extra hard with this being the first Christmas without my Dad. I don't normally make New Year's resolutions, but this year I promise to get back to blogging and visiting everyone more.

Glad to hear your Mom is coming to be with you for Christmas...It's been a very tough year for all of you...I hope the new year brings welcomed relief with new beginnings...

I've been scarce on my blog and visiting others as well...Between work, my own business, and the holidays...time has been a blur since before Thanksgiving!

That's great that your mom will be with you for Christmas. I can't imagine how tough this first season will be for all of you.

Staying busy through the year of firsts seemed to help me. My parents are both gone now, and I have no siblings, so this is a hard time of year, as my Dad, too, loved Christmas.

Merry Christmas....

I'll think of you as I spend a part of my first Christmas without Mom with my Dad at the VA.

**Hugs**

May our first Christmas without a cherished loved one be filled with happy memories of Christmases past and the warmth of their spirit.

I'm sorry I've been away so long.

I'm sorrier to hear about your Dad's passing. I know it was a little while ago, but I'm sure the wounds are still fresh.

I hope you can take some solace from the memories of your father. Remember that love transcends time and death, and for that reason your father can never truly be taken away from you.
