Changes by Jim Butcher
I just finished reading the latest Harry Dresden novel. All I'll say is that it lives up to its title. I don't want to give anything away, but it was a very good read. If I had any complaint and it's really not one is that because of the nature of the book a lot of the humor that is part of a Harry Dresden novel was missing. A very small nit to pick. I liked it a lot. I'm waiting to see what Travis thought of it, let me know Trav.

I will let you and Travis discuss this...
It's a great series. I'm curious to what Travis though of it.
I loved it! I read it way too fast though. I think I'll have to go back and start from the beginning of the series and try to read slower.
I won't give away the ending, in case anyone comes by who hasn't read it and wants to, but the double twist climax caught me by surprise. Then the ending shocked me again.
I give it 5 stars out of 5.
I agree with you Travis. I read it too fast. I found myself wanting to jump ahead trying to read it and see what was happening. But I think the Harry we knew is going to be vastly different in the next book.
Agreed. I think Harry's evolution is probably necessary though. One of the things I enjoy about Mr Butcher's writing is the way he is able to put his characters in nearly impossible situations, and find a plausible way to get them out of it.
But it was getting close to the point where he was going to start repeating himself with Dresden. I'm looking forward to where the series goes from here.
Once more I have to agree with you. One of the problems writers have with a successful series is that it's hard to change the character from fear of readers not coming back. I'm glad to see Butcher evolving Harry, it'll be exciting to see where he goes with him.
