Jazz Fest

Went to Jazz Fest today. It was great, but I'm too tired to do much posting right now. Just to give everyone a hint at what's to come thought I thought I'd post one picture.

Yeaa - you made it to the Fest!! Awesome. I think I was on the other side of the stage for Mr. Bennett in this shot. Had to split the time between him and Sugarland. Have been posting some pics on Facebook. Sad that today is the last day.

Wow. Tony at Jazz Fest. I'm not a fan, but that must have been amazing to see.

You're still here! I wasn't sure if I was going to make it all to any of the days, but I ended up making at least Friday. Next year I plan to be back for more and we have to meet up this time. I never made it to Sugarland, I figured the crowds would have been so big that I didn't want to fight them. Did you catch the Chillums that morning? Annie Clements from Sugarland was in that group with here Dad and Dave Malone from the Radiators and his two kids...really good.

Travis, I'm not a big fan of Tonys but figured that I had to see him given the chance, he is a legend and he's not getting any younger. And you're right it was pretty amazing.

Sounds like a plan to me, Vinny.

I was there all four days of the last weekend, flew out on Monday. I didn't catch the Chillums, but she did get a big ovation when they introduced her, and they told everyone that she opened the fest and closed the fest all in the same day - pretty cool. I also missed Theresa Andersson, she was up against Anders Osborne, tried to make the run over from Acura to Gentilly but didn't make it in time.

We should all meet up the second weekend next year!

I missed Theresa this year also. Next year I'm back to more days, going one day this year sucked. I didn't realize how much I missed it until I went my one day and was walking around, realizing I should have been there already, and how much I was missing. Definitely next year...
