Old School Fridays: Duets

Wow, this one was a tough one. So many great duets. My first thought was Allison Krauss and Robert Plant until I remembered the time restriction. I finally decided to go with a duet between Ray Charles and Betty Carter. Betty Carter is a jazz singer who performed with Charlie Parker when she was 16 and later with Dizzy Gillespie and Miles Davis. She was known as one of the greatest jazz singers ever. This duet was recorded in 1961.

Great minds think a like. I am drawn to Betty Carter's voice. There is something soulful and haunting, yet technical, about it.
